I’ve had extensive training, mentorship and supervision in the following areas: couples, individual and family therapies, expressive arts, psychodrama, transformational coaching, spiritual direction, depth psychology, dreamwork, and the therapeutic uses of poetry. I’ve had expert training and an abiding interest in family, group and organizational systems which informs my work.
Somatic wisdom and practices have been integral to my work for decasdes, though for the last six years, I’ve studied Polyvagal Theory (PVT) and practices. I continue learning PVT and am awed by the profound difference this has made to my own and my clients’ lives.
I’ve worked in hospitals, homeless and domestic violence shelters, community mental health, integrative medicine and private practice.
I earmed a Master’s degree in Human Services from Lincoln State University, Lincoln, PA, and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Kent State University, Kent, Ohio. I’m certified in Transformational Coaching through Michael Neill’s Supercoach Academy, and received certification as a Psychodramatist by the America Society of Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama.
